Spring is a time when the snow melts and the rains cause lots of marshy, wet soil. When I walk through the forest, I scan the areas of exposed mud for tracks, and I am usually rewarded. Sometimes the prints are barely recognizable, or partially there. But when I find a really good place, the tracks are many.
Coyote prints were in the mud, so I decided to place a trail camera at the place (I'll tell you more later about the camera).
